This is a painting I did as a commission to represent Hurricane Katrina. At first I was not sure how my style would fit with such a difficult and serious subject. I usually gravitate towards more romantic subjects. But I just let it flow and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. I feel like it captures the chaos of this event and yet I was able stay true to my style. It's a large piece about 30" x 40" on unstretched canvas with raw edges.
