Orcas can swim up to 100 miles a day. Yet in marine parks such as Sea World, these intelligent, social, wild animals spend their entire lives in solitary confinement in small concrete tanks with barely enough room to swim in circles. Many of these animals even self inflict injury on themselves such as bashing their heads against the tank walls causing tooth breakage and even suicide.
